Collection Principles
- Composed of all of the photographs of John Muir that are in the Special Collections unit of the Pacific Library and the University of the Pacific.
Contain photos from the John Muir Papers, Muiriana Collection, and the James Eastman Shone Collection of Muriana. - Project has sustainable funding through the UOP.
- They restricted the objects to those of John Muir himself; many more photos are in their posession but would be too diverse in subject matter; "thousands of photographs of other people and locations that are not included in this online collection" are in their posession.
